Privacy policy
Last updated November 3, 2026. This policy covers the Fourteen website, the Fourteen app, the Fourteen SDK that developers add to apps being tested, and invite links.
What we collect
Waitlist: your email address, when your app will be ready for closed testing, and when you signed up.
Fourteen accounts: your Google account details used for sign-in, such as your name, email address, and account ID. We also store the apps you add, including their names, icons, package names, and test areas, your task plans, test results, feedback, group messages, private messages, blocks, reports, appeals, reliability information, notices, and production notes you write.
Testing through the SDK: an anonymous tester ID, the app's package name and version number, the date, active time, number of sessions, number of touches, and the names of any tasks the app's developer chose to record.
The SDK doesn't collect screen contents, what you type, where you tap, your contacts, your location, your advertising ID, or your account details. It stays inactive on a device until a tester connects it through Fourteen or an invite link.
Invite links: you don't need an account. We store a random ID for you, your test results, and any note you send. The page keeps that ID and a private key in your browser so it can recognize you when you come back. Please don't put personal information in your notes.
Screenshots: if an app doesn't use the SDK, testers upload a screenshot as proof of testing. Screenshots are stored privately, and the app's developer can view them, labeled T1 or I1 rather than by name. A screenshot can include whatever was on your screen, such as notifications, so please check it first. We delete screenshots about 45 days after upload.
Technical data: our service providers may process technical data such as IP addresses to run and protect the service.
How we use it
- To run Fourteen, including forming groups, confirming tests, and showing results
- To send service messages and updates about Fourteen
- To prevent abuse and review appeals
- To understand and improve the service
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Developers see their app's tester log, coverage, and feedback. Testers appear with labels such as T1 or I1, not their names, although the content of a note could identify you.
Group members can see group messages, which show the sender's app name, and may see test status within the group. Private messages can be seen by the people in the conversation. We may review messages and other content when someone reports it.
If a developer replies to your feedback note, they'll be able to message you privately, and you'll see their app name.
Service providers: Fourteen runs on Google Firebase. Our website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it does.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people or the service.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information until it's no longer needed for launch updates. We keep account and test information while your account is active, and for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete your information, delete your account, or leave the waitlist, email hello@getfourteen.app. If you used an invite link, include that link so we can find your records. You may have other rights depending on where you live.
To stop SDK measurement, uninstall the tested app or leave the test. Developers should remove the SDK before their production release.
For developers using the SDK
You're responsible for your own app's privacy disclosures, including Google Play's Data safety form, while the SDK is in your app.
Children
Fourteen is for developers and the adults helping them test. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you think a child has given us information.
Security
We use access rules and encrypted connections to protect information, but no service can guarantee complete security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its date.
